MECHANICAL ENGINEER (Bryanston)- REQUIREMENTS:5yrs experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the field (with a 4yrs degree in Mechanical Engineering). Registration with ECSA will be an advantage. Must be a discipline type engineer and not a project type engineer/manager. Computer literate. In depth knowledge and experienced in using the ASME Pressure Vessel Codes, TEMA and API Codes.Experienced in the desing of pressure equipment (vessels, tanks and heat exchangers).Experienced in the use of pressure vessel design software (e.g. PV Elite, CodeCalc, Compress etc). Understanding of the EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) environment.RESPONSIBILITIES:Will be responsible for detail mechanical engineering activities on various projects. Develop data sheets. Compile RFQ Documentation and evaluation. Liase and review vendor drawings and data. Ensure compliance with company and client specifications.Provide vendor inspection support.Provide commissioning support. Responsible for the integrity of the mechanicalengineering for the project.
